  • The Best of British

Below is a Trailer for the magnificent 1.15 hour documentary on the rise & fall of Triumph Motorcycles

The film features on the racing triples with interviews with Percy Tait, Paul Smart, Norman Hyde and others with archive footage of the triples winning at Daytona and the IOM

The Triumph story began in Coventry just after the turn of the century and over the years has ranged from successful to sad and from spectacular to downright stormy. We look in detail at the significant Triumph models of the past, courtesy of the National Motorcycle Museum and the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum. For the present models we go to the new Triumph factory. We talk to key players and visit the past via classic archive film, and into the present with visits to international races and rallies. Made with the full and official co-operation of the Triumph Motorcycle Company.

  • "Triples Galore"  Donington Park Classic Revival Meeting June 20th 2009

We lined up 18 Trident & Rocket 3 Race bikes at Donington on the Saturday night so that you can see what a third of a million quid looks like

Unfortunately there was another 11 bikes that we just couldn't get into the pit lane but we still attracted a lot of interest in both the bikes and riders

I reckon we have enough race bikes competing that the TR3OC should look at setting up a race series just for triples with the CRMC

Imagine 30+ Triples lining up on the grid at Donington

Suggestions are being taken for the name of such a series and it would be a great advert for the Beezumph and the TR3OC

If you fancy helping make this happen then email me with your coments and any suggestions and I will start flying the flag.....

If you want to know what a triple sounds like then turn up your volume. This isn't Chris but gives a good idea of what he sees and hears when he's at full chat. (Enjoy)

Percy Tait's F750 Triumph Trident

Courtesy of www.3dmotorcycles.eu (well worth a visit) a quick thrash around Cadwell Park on the ex-Percy Tait F750 Triumph Trident. This is the bike that Percy got reprimanded for doing a near 100 mph lap in the Isle of Man Parade during the early '80s.
Percy apparently laughed it off saying if his footrest had not been slipping off he would have easily exceeded the magic ton!
I was lucky enough to be there and witness this lap for myself and I can honestly say it was truly spectacular! www.3dmotorcycles.eu who's website will feature this video and others similar in due course...
